New Salem Station, on Athol Branch, New Salem, Mass., early 1900s

Several buggies and wagons are parked at the New Salem Station on the Athol Branch of the Boston and Albany Railroad. Men stand next to or sit on some of these vehicles. Woods and mountains surround the station. Lumber is strewn on the ground at the foot of what may be a telegraph pole.
