Boston Fire Department Badge in Case

Boston Fire Department badge belonging to Charles H. Watkins (1886-1957) [.1]. The badge allowed Watkins to pass fire lines. The badge is gold-plated and bears the seal of the city of Boston. In brown leather case [.2] with two snap closures.

Comb in Case

Narrow comb with black-painted wood back and black and white bristles in leather case. Case has snap closure and is stamped with the owner's initials "CMW". The case is also stamped "W.E. Blanchard" a retailer in Gloucester, Massachusetts.

Upholstery Clips

Twelve upholstery clips stamped with an abstract floral pattern. Stored inside of an old pocket watch case [see 2015.62.145.2].

A pair of colorless molded glass decanters with ball stoppers. Round bases and tall, tapered neck. Molded wave design on body. One decanter [.1ab] slightly larger than the other. Possibly manufactured by Sandwich Glassworks.

Clear glass bottle with decorative prunts and cords. Spherical body with tall narrow neck. Cork stopper attached to the neck with a small chain.

Pitcher

Colorless glass pitcher with a round body, small loop handle, and a broad spout. Decorative twists of glass around upper and lower body.

Bowls

Set of six small clear blown-glass bowls. Flat-base, straight sides and folded over rim.

Wall Hook with Nails

Cast iron wall hook [.1] with three small, hand wrought nails [.2-.4]. The wall hook has a narrow, rectangular wall plate with three nail holes. An L-shaped hook extends form low on the plate.

Candlestick made of sheet metal on a convex disc base with a straight tubular stem bearing a round drip catcher at the top. Slot in the side of the stem accommodates a finger grip for operating the interior candle adjuster / ejector.
