Platter

Oval, porcelain enameled platter with green tendrils, pink peonies, and butterflies around six medallions depicting figures engaged in various activities and birds, insects, and flowers. A central circular medallion depicts a floral decoration. This design is sometimes known as Rose Medallion.

Trunk

A nineteenth century antique hide covered pine trunk with brass nail heads, a monogram "D C" at the dome lid with a heart below, the interior lined with original blue Federal wall paper with a Neoclassical design, from Newfane, Vermont. Tag with accession number placed inside trunk.

A mahogany tilt-top table, with a scalloped rectangular top, and a heavy ring and urn turned shaft with three snake feet at the base.

A mahogany Chippendale side chair, shaped crest with scrolled ears, carved central shell, pierced splat, a yellow wool upholstered slip seat, seat frame has routed front corners and bracketed skirt, cabriole front legs with a carved shell, and ball and claw feet, probably Philadelphia.

A mahogany Chippendale side chair with a narrow serpentine crest, carved scrolled ears, a pierced splat, a yellow wool upholstered seat with brass tacs, a scalloped skirt in front, carved knees, cabriole legs on ball and claw feet, and turned stretchers.

A rectangular leather covered pine trunk with brass nail head decoration, "J P B" in an oval cartouche at the top, a plain interior, and metal handles at the side. Tag with accession number placed inside trunk on top of sweater in plastic bag.

Mirror

A mid eighteenth century English walnut veneer and parcel gilt Chippendale mirror with flanking vines of fruit and leaf decoration at sides, a beveled edge mirror, a broken arch top with acanthus leaf decoration, a gold inner liner, and applied gilded decoration centrally below.
